Did you know you can text 9-1-1 in Larimer and Weld County?

Text to 9-1-1 refers to the ability to send text messages to local 9-1-1 call centers during an emergency. All dispatch centers in Larimer and Weld County are equipped to receive and handle text-to-9-1-1 calls. We can even receive photos and videos! After texting 9-1-1 the dispatcher can send a link, once that link is accepted you can upload photos, videos, or allow live videos stream to the 9-1-1 dispatcher.

To text 9-1-1 enter the numbers "911" in the "to" field and text the location and a brief description about the emergency. Be prepared to answer questions and follow instructions from the 9-1-1 call taker.
