Larimer Emergency Telephone Authority

On behalf of Larimer Emergency Telephone Authority (LETA911) I would like to share some valuable information about Accessible Alerts. LETA911 provides the NOCOALERT Emergency Alert System, which serves all communities in Larimer and Jackson Counties, as well as the Windsor Severance Fire Protection District in Weld County.

LETA911 is partnering with Deaf Link to provide the Accessible Hazard Alert System (AHAS) which will send accessible alert messages to registered residents who are Deaf, Blind, Hard of Hearing, or Deaf / Blind. Alerts will be sent before, during, and after an emergency or disaster that requires action from citizens.

NOCOALERT AHAS subscribers in an area affected by an emergency or disaster will be able to receive an accessible alert message in American Sign Language (ASL) and English voice and text which are easily accessed by Braille capable devices. The alert message will include information about the emergency and what actions to take.

LETA911 and government partner agencies will send accessible alert messages to internet and video capable devices such as computers, mobile phones, and tablet computers. AHAS alerts are also Braille reader accessible.

Complete the LETA 911 AHAS signup form here to receive alerts messages in accessible formats.
